One of the best stays I've been in Malaysia! The rooftop is amazing, the beds are confy, the atmosphere is great, location could not be better, owner is a lovely person that took very good care and the volunteers are great people! You won't go wrong! I am traveling by motorbike and the owner let me park the bike with his own bikes, covered and safe! Such a wonderful experience in every sense!

I was a bit hesitant about writing this review but I think it might help future travellers choosing a hostel in Melaka. I arrived at this hostel with two nights stay booked, upon arrival I was greeted by lovely volunteers that showed me around the hostel. The overall hostel is very run down, pretty dirty and the hostel dorm occasionally has a sewage smell because the toilets are next door to the dorms.The aircon only switched on at night. Due the circumstances of the hostel I had decided to cut my time short at this hostel by one night. However during that first night I had enjoyed my time immensely, all the volunteers were very friendly and helpful. And I was convinced to rebook a second night because I had really enjoyed the atmosphere this hostel gives. So if you are a type of person who doesn’t mind if a hostel is a bit rough around the edges and wants a nice social environment then go for this hostel.

Laid back Hostel with great opportunities to socialize. However, I travelled with a friend and we both didn't want to socialize with others that much. If you are solo traveling however it's great. The staff and volunteers are very forthcoming, friendly and invite people to join their social activities without pressure like trivia, dancing class and food tours.
