It’s a really fun place! I came here alone today because it was raining, so there weren’t many people around (most areas I had all to myself). I actually loved that — good to take photo, and have some creepy vibe 😬😬 (Which I like it) My favorite part was the Perils House of Dancing Mannequins — super eerie in a good way. The maze is amazing too! You can definitely spend hours here if you come with friends and take lots of photos. The animatronics in maze are really cool. I do think it would be even better with more decorations on the walls and a bit less hanging netting since it blocks the way sometimes (and I didn’t want to get dirty 😅). It would also be great to have more interactive elements. One small suggestion: the mirrors could be cleaned more often. There were quite a lot of handprints and blur marks, which made it harder to take nice photos. Overall, it’s quite cool and worth visiting! 😁

It was an okay experience. There are different type of houses from each states in Malaysia, each representing it's specialty. Rumah Kedah is a must visit. However, some of the houses are not in the best condition and need to be maintained. After strolling the houses, you may rest for a while at the Astaka and enjoy a dance performance. There's also a maze for you to check out with your children. Answer the teka teki and see what's your choice of answer led you to.

A great place to learn some basic historical & cultural facts. Quite a surprising gem actually. The place seems a little past its peak but hope they get to maintain and last for many more years to come. They do have some IG-worthy, cutesy pic corners too. Love the aircond in the Kampungs for us city folks 😂 Be mindful & careful when going up & down the wooden steps as some of them are showing wear (much like a usual traditional kampung house). Maybe the photo booth at the entrance could be made more interesting with Kampung scene backgrounds so that the photo would be our takeaway as a little piece of Malaysia Heritage Studios. We were actually more interested to take a photo with the dressed-up abang cameraman than the 3 characters there. Too bad none of us knew how to work a DSLR timer for him to join us in the photo 😆. The show presentation at the ampitheatre would have been more interesting if it demonstrated a few traditional games & musical instruments instead of just dance after dance. The team of dancers were great, but it just lacked the attention-grabbing factor after a few minutes. Audience would also be more keen to participate in playing traditional games / trying out musical instruments on stage rather than in a dance. It would create a more authentic & interactive ambience & experience. Our visit was on a Monday, 24 Nov 2025. Entrance was RM81 per adult (foreigner rate). One of the 13 "houses" were under renovation at this time, but overall we did enjoy our experience. Well worth it.
