We stayed in Bentong View, which in our opinion is the better option due to its higher location. The room and amenities are very good — clean and well thought out. I can’t think of any negatives; everything was perfect, with good and seamless communication with the host. There are cooking facilities which are surprisingly clean and very usable, and there are ample water bottles provided. On the day we checked out, there was a fresh pile of monkey poo on my car. Conveniently, there was a water pipe and hose nearby that we could use to clean it — call it convenience or well-thought-out planning. At night, the air is fresh and cooling. A good place to unwind and relax.

My second time at Gibbon. This is one of my favorite locations to head to when looking for time to just chill with my wife & dog. Rooms are comfortable, clean. Amenities are all in great working order (maybe a bit better maintained than my own house XD). I think this is the perfect place to go if you are looking for time away from other people as Gibbon's chalets are pretty isolated from each other. It is important to follow the directions from Gibbon's caretakers - they will help prep for the stay, and to note that this is truly a nature retreat and there's no recreational activities or facilities that you may expect from other resorts (though there is a common area if you are looking to hang out in a group). Beware of the traffic on-the-way to Bentong during holiday seasons though.

Amazing stay at Gibbon Retreat! The workers were very nice and friendly, always helpful and welcoming. It’s a truly pet-friendly staycation, which made our experience even better. The dishes and BBQ equipment provided were all clean and new, so cooking was very comfortable and hassle-free. The place is well maintained and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended, will definitely come back! 🐾🌿
