I’m not the greatest cook in the world however this was the best experience for me. Samuel picked us up from our hotel & guided us around his local fresh food market. We also got the chance to taste some local sweets & delicious fruit drinks & we got to meet Samuel’s family before heading to the kitchen close by for our lesson. The lesson was fun & and educational whilst also being easy to follow. Menus, recipe cards & all our ingredients were provided & after a couple of hours we had prepared 3 amazing dishes. If like me, cooking is not your strength, do not worry, Samuel makes it super easy. I’m looking forward to getting home & trying out what I learnt. Thanks for the great day.

My husband and I spent a lovely afternoon with Chef Samuel. He made us feel welcome from the start and created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. We visited a local market together, which was a great experience — I will definitely go back there to shop again. During the afternoon, we learned how to prepare some of my childhood favorite dishes, which made the experience particularly meaningful for me. Chef Samuel also took the time to explain the differences between certain ingredients and share cultural perspectives on food, which added a lot of depth to the experience. We truly appreciated the afternoon and would happily recommend it to others.

Cooking with Samuel was an amazing experience from start to finish. Samuel first took us to the local market, where we picked up fresh ingredients — fish, vegetables, herbs, and all the essentials — which instantly made the class feel authentic and culturally immersive. Back in the kitchen, we cooked a selection of truly delicious recipes, and Samuel explained everything so clearly and properly that I’m genuinely keen to replicate the dishes at home. What I especially appreciated was that he didn’t just walk us through steps — he gave structure and context to the cuisine, so you understand why things are done a certain way, not only how. Communication before the masterclass was also excellent: polite, attentive, and timely, with a great choice of dishes available to prepare. And the best part: the food we enjoyed afterwards was absolutely amazing — the laksa, fish, and prawns were outstanding. I would highly recommend this masterclass both to people who don’t usually cook (it’s a fantastic cultural experience) and to those who already cook and want to broaden their horizon and genuinely enhance their skills with incredible recipes.
