I recently visited this museum and it truly felt like stepping into a place full of hidden treasures. The collection is impressive, featuring a wide range of artifacts that showcase rich history and fascinating stories from different eras. Each section is thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to explore and learn at your own pace. However, while the exhibits themselves are amazing, some areas could benefit from better maintenance. A few displays look slightly worn out, and improving the upkeep would definitely enhance the overall experience. Despite that, the museum remains a great place to spend a few hours for anyone who enjoys culture and history. The environment inside is clean, comfortable, and well-organized, making the visit pleasant and relaxing. Overall, it’s an interesting and enriching experience, and with a little more attention to maintenance, it has the potential to be truly outstanding.

One of the best museums I have been to in recent times. Impressive to see the armada. It is quite long inside (stretched back to jonker street) and has many treasures with English explanations. Will worth the entry fee. Came on Monday and it was nice and quiet. Tip: start with the 5 minute video as you enter to set the scene

A bit of a mish mash. A fair bit on Cheng Ho and his context. Very little on ship construction, financing and sesmanship. Exhibition bulked out with bits and bobs from places he visited eg gamalan instruments and shadow puppets from Java. An interesting gallery on excavation of an almost intact treasure ship of the time.
