I booked a room at The Straits Hotel And Suites because I’ve stayed here a few times before and had good experiences. This time was different. At check-in, the receptionist told me the room wasn’t actually managed by the hotel and that I needed to contact an agent. The agent was helpful, but there was no room service, and the fridge wasn’t working. The location is great, but I really wish this had been clearly mentioned when booking. Next time, I’ll definitely check first whether the room is managed by the hotel or by an external agent.

Pleasant larger modern room, in good shape, clean. Nice view from room windows on higher floors. Nice rooftop pool. Very good breakfast (served in the adjacent Noble hotel). Convenient location among many restaurants, next to the center of Melaka.

The hotel is in good location, food stall is every where. Mini market just across the hotel. View from 23rd floor is good. They have pool with great view and gym. Room quite spacious. We stay for 5 days and small insident happened, the mechanical of our door is broken. We try several times to call the engineering team through receptionist and wait more than 1 hours until they come and fix it. Other than that, everything is perfect. Surely will come again to stay.
