From start to finish we enjoyed a friendly and efficient service from your company. On arrival within the Mountain National Park we were provided with all the information we needed by Julie and then taken to a lovely mountain lodge where we soaked up our delightful surroundings. Dinner was delicious and so too breakfast before we began our ascent of the mountain with our excellent guide. The hike to the Basecamp Batan hut was so dramatic as we passed through the varying bush from dense tropical, through temperate to alpine as the different climate zones were transcended. Our early morning summit ascent was a sublime experience as a 3/4 moon illuminated the rocky slopes of this dramatic mountain landscape. We were so lucky with the weather. The long and arduous descent was still an experience to savour as we passed back down through the climate bands and bush zones. We were sent off on our way from Park HQ with a tasty little packed lunch and an enjoyed the scenic return to KK until our eyelids flickered before finally closing. Big thanks ! had an amazing experience with Amazing Borneo for my Mount Kinabalu climb. From the admin coordination to the actual hike, everything was well organised and smooth. I faced AMS (altitude sickness) during the climb and honestly it was very tough for me, but my guide was extremely patient, supportive, and motivating throughout. He never rushed me, kept checking on me, and encouraged me step by step until I finally reached the summit. Doing this as a solo hiker, having such a caring and professional guide felt like a true blessing. Huge thanks to the admin team as well for clear communication and support. Highly recommend Amazing Borneo for anyone planning Kinabalu – especially solo travelers 🙏⛰️

We did the 3D2N Mt Kinabalu climb. A great experience and spectacular at the summit, though COLD and windy and overall a surprisingly tough climb. And you’d better do some serious training to pre-condition your thighs for the 2000m descent that follows, else you won’t be able to walk for days afterwards! Nathelie in the office was amazing with all the arrangements and responsive almost literally 24/7. And our guides Zeron and Jacky were fantastic on the mountain, including escorting the 12 year old girl back to the lodge when she was suffering too much from flu to make the summit Very satisfactory accommodations and good food. Don’t go to Sabah without doing this if you like mountains.
